Bankers Hosts On-Site Meeting for Thermal EOR Project
Fier, Albania – Under the warm early-winter sunshine in November, Bankers Petroleum held a productive workshop on oilfield thermal recovery techniques. Attendees included government officials and technical experts from Albania’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy (MIE), the Albanian National Agency for Natural Resources (AKBN), and AlbPetrol. The workshop focused on the future development of Bankers’ Patos-Marinza (PM) Oilfield, highlighting the importance of establishing a sustainable and efficient long-term strategy. This event signaled a significant step forward in PM Oilfield’s ongoing development and reaffirmed Bankers’ commitment to local economic growth and environmental sustainability.
During the meeting, Bankers representatives presented the results of the thermal recovery pilot test and shared future plans for expanding thermal EOR. CEO Mr. Xiao Hongping emphasized, “It is crucial for Bankers to develop this key Albanian asset in the right and most efficient way. Not only does this benefit our shareholders, it also ensures shared growth and prosperity for the Albanian government and its people.”
Following the workshop, participants visited the oilfield to observe production at the thermal recovery wells and review construction progress at the oil sludge processing plant. Bankers showcased its achievements in thermal EOR technology, underscoring the company’s technical capabilities and confidence in the PM Oilfield’s future. After examining the results of the pilot test, attendees toured the sludge plant site, where high standards of construction quality, advanced equipment, and effective project management affirmed Bankers’ dedication to environmental protection. Officials gladly accepted the invitation to attend the plant’s startup ceremony, scheduled for January 2025.
As it continues production and operations, Bankers plans to maintain open communication with resource-country stakeholders to secure mutual understanding and support. Looking ahead, Bankers will host more in-depth workshops, sharing the company’s vision for sustainable and stable production growth at the PM Oilfield.
