Geo-Jade Holds 5th Joint Management Committee Meeting with Iraq's MdOC
Baghdad, Iraq – From October 21 to 22, 2024, Beijing time, Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation and Iraq's Midland Oil Company (MdOC) held the 5th Joint Management Committee (JMC) meeting. The two-day event focused on oilfield blocks and served as both a review of 2024’s achievements and a detailed planning session for 2025.
Representatives from both sides highly praised Geo-Jade for its accomplishments over the past year. Notable progress included synchronized efforts in subsurface and surface studies, as well as preparations for drilling in the resumption of production in mature oilfields. All tasks were carried out in an orderly manner. In new blocks, seismic exploration advanced steadily, with both 2D and 3D seismic survey teams actively operating. As seismic data acquisition concludes and drilling rigs are deployed, a series of new oil and gas fields are expected to emerge.
To ensure the smooth execution of future seismic and drilling operations, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the specifics of work plans. The meeting extended into the evening, with participants remaining highly motivated. Consensus was reached on the work plan and budget for 2025, ensuring the seamless implementation of initiatives for the 2025–2026 period.
As the meeting concluded, all participants expressed confidence and optimism, looking forward to achieving even greater success in the future!
