Intercontinental Oil & Gas’s Global Strategy Enters a New Phase

On March 17, 2025, Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation teamed up with Iraq’s Midland Oil Company (MdOC) to hold the first Joint Management Committee (JMC) meeting in Baghdad, Iraq’s capital. They agreed on several important points, officially starting Geo-Jade’s fourth oil and gas project in Iraq. After running successful projects at Naft Khana, Huwaiza, and Jabal Sanam, this new step strengthens Geo-Jade’s place in the Middle East’s energy heartland, pushing its global plans forward and building stronger teamwork across regions.

Key Goal: Creating a Main Production Base in Iraq

The Zurbatiya block, located in Iraq’s Wasit Province, covers 519 square kilometers and sits in the famous Zagros oil-rich area. It has great ground conditions and plenty of oil and gas, making it perfect for exploration and work. When it starts producing, it will team up with the nearby Naft Khana project to the north, sharing resources and boosting results. This makes Zurbatiya a key spot for Geo-Jade’s growth in Iraq and the Middle East, solidifying its role in the region’s oil and gas scene.

Using Technology: Full Skills and Tools for Smart Work

Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation will use its people, skills, and know-how from projects in Central Asia and Europe. With top tools like smart drilling and digital oilfield systems, it will work well in the tricky Zagros area, pulling out resources quickly and in a clean way.
